This is our first review in camera section. The GoPro Hero6 Black ($500) which is the King of all action cameras. GoPro Hero6 comes with a 12MP camera, same as their sibling Hero5, which can shoot in both RAW and JPEG. But it has better low-light imaging and dynamic range. The biggest change in GoPro Hero6 is that now you can shoot 4K videos at 60fps.

The 4K at 30fps on the previous model (Hero5) just wasn’t enough for adventure junkies. It can also shoot 2.7K at 120fps and 1080p at 240fps. These higher frame rates are going to make the videos much smoother, plus superfine slo-mo are going to get awesome. The action cam(Hero6) also gets Electronic Image Stabilization(EIS).

Design

The GoPro Hero6 tiny body comes handy with any long holding shooting that becomes an utterly easy thing. When it comes to its Metrics. It measures 1.8 by 2.6 by 1.4 inches (HWD) and weighs around 4 ounces. Its Rugged, Rubberised body helps it to dive deeper than 10m (33 Feet).

The Hero series is well known with its compatibility, so you can squeeze it into places that other cameras can’t go. But to mount it anywhere, you’ll need to put it in its cage. The included accessory surrounds the GoPro and adds the company’s proprietary mounting loops to the bottom of the camera.

You can get an adapter to hook the system up to a standard tripod mount, but the Hero6 does not have its own tripod socket. The Camera Cage is quiet with this pair you can go to any location and shoot great pieces of footage.

The only downside to putting the camera in the cage mount is a lack of access to the USB-C port. You can plug the charger while capturing time-lapse video( Which is a power consuming process).

Build Quality

When it comes to its Aesthetic Look,Two physical control buttons on the camera is not enough. The Power/Mode switch is on the right side, and the Record/Shutter button is on the top.

The Mode button toggles between video, still image, burst image, and time-lapse image capture. Additional options-like the interval between photos in time-lapse, video frame rate settings, and color output, are accessed using the touch LCD screen.

The highlighted features we should see in its quality is :-

  • Waterproof up to 10m/33ft
  • Design unchanged from Hero5 Black
  • Wide range of accessories available

The GoPro Hero6 has a Tiny 2-inch touchscreen on the back for reviewing video and photos and adjusting settings, and it uses what seems like the world’s tiniest touch-based user interface.

Video and photo quality

  • It offers advanced control
  • Impressive Video footage at 4K.
  • Good image stabilization (EIS).

This is the sample picture taken with GoPro Hero6(mounted on car Dashboard).Even Though its look like dashboard camera it has quite good wide angle of a dashboard Cam, which has quite good Low light performance has always been a GoPro shortcoming, but the Hero6 Black delivers improved dynamic range courtesy of the new processor, resulting in better image quality both indoors and outdoors.

It has a secondary monochrome information LCD Display located on the front, next to the lens. It’s a big relief if your camera is mounted facing to you, as it shows the mode, video resolution, frame rate, and angle of view, along with battery and memory card capacity, and recording status.

Connectivity, Editing and Apps

The Hero6 has wireless connectivity. It supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so you can wake the camera with the Android or iOS GoPro app. It also has integrated GPS, so the camera’s clock is always properly set and location data is added to images and video.

File transfers are also supported. The GoPro app scans a connected camera and automatically downloads all of its media. Transfers aren’t quick as needed, unfortunately, and if you record big, long video files, you can expect things to take a good, long while, and drain the battery of both your camera and phone.

Automatic transfer is still an Headache, which is the only thing pulling this Handi-Cam Ratings.

Verdict

The GoPro Hero6 Black instantly becomes the best action camera you can buy based on the specs. 4K at 60fps and super-slow-motion 240fps at 1080p footage in such a small, versatile action camera make it a cinematic marvel.

Its a good choice for any Photographer or content creators, This GoPro Hero6 will feed your desire to make best content
